AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE NO. 03/DAGLU/PER/3/2009 CONCERNING GUIDANCE TO IMPLEMENT REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE NO. 13/M-DAG/PER/3/2009 CONCERNING AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE NO. 12/M-DAG/PER/4/2008 CONCERNING PROVISIONS ON THE IMPORT AND EXPORT OF RICE

THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE,

Considering:

that to support the effective implementation of provisions on the export of rice as stipulated in Regulation of the Minister of Trade No. 13/M-DAG/PER/3/2009 concerning Amendment to Regulation of the Minister of Trade No.12/M-DAG/PER/4/2008 concerning Provisions on the Import and Export of Rice, it is needed to stipulate a Regulation of the Director General of Foreign Trade;

In view of:

REGULATION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE CONCERNING AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE DIRECTOR GENERAL OF FOREIGN TRADE NO. 03/DAGLU/PER/3/2009 CONCERNING GUIDANCE TO IMPLEMENT REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE NO. 13/M-DAG/PER/3/2009 CONCERNING AMENDMENT TO REGULATION OF THE MINISTER OF TRADE NO. 12/M-DAG/PER/4/2008 CONCERNING PROVISIONS ON THE IMPORT AND EXPORT OF RICE

Article I

Provisions in Article 9 paragraph (1), paragraph (2) and paragraph (4) shall be amended so that Article 9 reads as follows:

"Article 9

(1) The Minister of Trade shall issue export approvals of pre-shipment to the applications as intended in Article 8 paragraph (3) for rice of medium category.

(2) The Director General of Foreign Trade on behalf of the Minister of Trade shall issue export approvals of pre-shipment to the applications as intended in Article 8 paragraph (3) for rice of premium category.

(3) The export approvals as intended in paragraph (1) and paragraph (2) shall be issued not later than 5 (five) working days after the complete and truth applications have been received.

(4) The export approvals as intended in paragraph (2) for rice of premium category shall be valid for a period of 30 (thirty) days and issued during a rice harvest time set at a meeting of the Coordinating Team of Staple Food Stability, while export approvals for sticky rice and organically-processed rice can be issued throughout the year and shall be valid for a period of 3 (three) months after the date of issuance."

Article II

This Regulation of the Director General shall come into force as from the date of stipulation.
